Calendar for Zilers – October 2015: celebrations for inspiration
October is the time to get ready for Halloween candy, beautiful autumn colours, hoodies and so much more. In the t-shirt business October is also the start of the high shopping season, when sales and profits surge significantly. So Zilers, are you ready?
Following our monthly post about events throughout Europe, this month we have collected the most important upcoming celebrations in European countries and put them in a calendar as a source of inspiration for your next Teezily campaigns!
REMEMBER! We recommend launching your campaigns at least one month (considering your campaign will last 10 days or less) in advance to make sure your customers receive their products on time!
National day of Germany and Spain
In October, people from our two biggest markets – Germany and Spain - will celebrate Tag der Deutschen Einheit and Fiesta Nacional de España respectively. 3rd October is the day that marks the anniversary of German reunification in 1990, and it has become national holiday ever since. In Spain, 12th October commemorates the first day of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas. Get ready for very cheerful celebrations across these nations.
World Vegetarian Day, 1st October
The first day of the month marks a worldwide celebration for vegetarians, followed by the whole month of October being dedicated to Vegetarian Awareness Month. As vegetarianism is not only considered a healthy diet, but has also become a trendy lifestyle, we believe that you can find and develop a passionate audience for your campaigns.
Halloween, 31st October
Fast forward to the end of the month, Halloween is probably the most remarkable event of October. In fact, it is the world’s second commercial holiday after Christmas.
Halloween celebrations in European countries are quite different from those in the US, they are not so wide-spread and extravagant. In many countries, the general public still considers Halloween as a relatively new, American thing. Nevertheless, it is making an upsurge in France, Italy, and Germany … and is already very popular in the UK and Ireland.
Throughout the month, the excitement continues with many other events. On 14th October, we have The Amsterdam Dance Event – the world’s leading electronic music conference and the biggest festival for many electronic sub-genres on the planet, with about 140,000 visitors from 62 countries. From the 5th to the 9th October, bikers around Europe have chance to gather in Cologne, Germany for Big Bike Europe 2015. Not just an exposition with the best motorcycle manufacturers, visitors can also expect exciting outdoors rallies, shows and parties during the three day event.

This October, worldwide fans of George R. R. Martin and the famous show Games of Throne are waiting for the release of his newest book A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (A Song of Ice and Fire).
When it comes to movie/book niches, a lot of sellers face difficulties with copyright laws. We believe that you can come up with many great ideas without infringing copyrights. More information can be found on our blog post about International Property Rights.
