Wear it pink! Teezily and Filippa Design for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is the month in which the trees are tinged with yellow and red, the children are ready to celebrate Halloween, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting darker, sweaters and hoodies become, once again, a must-have to face the chilly autumn breeze...


Today we wanted to remind you and stress that October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month: This is an annual campaign organised by major charities for the treatment of cancer, in order to increase the awareness of the disease and raise funds for research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment.


For this reason, we wanted to tell you about a wonderful initiative for the fight against cancer that has been launched on our platform: Géraldine Filippa is a French independent graphic designer and illustrator, who is offering advice in communication and design for companies / associations.


Géraldine decided to combine her passion for graphic arts with the commitment in the fight against cancer. As she pointed out: “the research advances, but it still needs help in financial terms. On the other hand, the human aspect of the issue has a fundamental dimension: the victims of this disease need to understand that they are not alone, that the struggle continues and that the international community can and must implement concrete actions to beat cancer. In this sense, unity and solidarity are of the utmost importance.”


Géraldine decided to use Teezily to launch a fundraising campaign to support cancer research, creating custom garments with her personal designs and creations:




Teezily was undoubtedly a great way to finance this cause because it allows people like me, who have small means, to leverage social networks in order to quickly create a passionate and committed community. Creating a campaign is exceptionally easy and the results are immediate. The first campaign for the fight against cancer was successful and thanks to Teezily and Internet users I have been able to donate € 250 to the ARC foundation

After the success of the first campaign, Géraldine has launched a new T-shirt campaign that will close at the end of the month and whose benefits will be donated to the ARC foundation: As long as these campaigns / sales will have a positive result, I will continue to put all my efforts and time into these initiatives. The battle is still ongoing, and we must continue the fight!
