Villa Pepa and Teezily join their force to help abandoned animals
Villa Pepa is a charity which has recently been created to face the problem of the great amount of animals that are abandoned every day. The charity raises funds for food and veterinary care for the animals rescued by Pepa García, a woman with a big heart, who has been rescuing and fostering animals in her own house for 8 years, giving them a second chance at a better life.
During these almost 9 years, Pepa has rescued and fostered more than 500 animals in her home.
This is why we have chosen this charity in order to help to promote the campaign and tell the world about the great work accomplished by Pepa García.
Congratulations to Pepa for this laudable work!
Pepa García: It was never a decision. My family and I lived in Madrid in an apartment and we always had animals at home. About 10 years ago, one of my daughters moved to El Tiemblo and we decided to move there too. El Tiemblo is in Avila, even if it’s closer to San Martín de Valdeiglesias.
It is in the countryside and unfortunately is in neglect.
There are many animals that “live” on animal caring farms that are only visited by people on weekends and during vacations. These animals are not sterilized and so they are reproducing constantly and so infant animals end up abandoned in the fields, drowned in the river or die inside dumpsters.
There is also a big hunting tradition and when the season ends, dozens of abandoned animals appear, having also reproduced in excess.
I have never been able to turn a blind eye to suffering animals, so from the moment I arrived in the region and saw the state in which the animals lived, I have been trying to help all animals that cross my path, offering them a better quality of life.
Obviously, this would not be possible without all the people who have contributed to the cause.
PG: From another person who protects animals who started a campaign on Facebook.
PG: We always sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, backpacks and other types of merchandise during events but this implies a huge financial investment and currently we do not have enough economical resources to do it by ourselves.
Evidently, the benefit margins we obtain with Teezily are lower than when we did our own products in big amounts, but with Teezily no investment is needed and we do not have to stock the products until they are sold, and furthermore we can sell anywhere in the world.
PG: If this campaign has the success we expect, we will do it again.
PG: Yes, the customer service is excellent.
PG: We would like you to use your social networks to announce active campaigns from non-profit charities like ours, to help us reach our goal.
PG: Thank you for your time.
