A Mud Run is a new and exciting way to take part in a race, and is a concept already successful and popular in the United States. This innovative phonemena is also spreading in Europe and open to everybody: young and old, men and women, families, individuals and teams.
But what exactly is the Mud Run we hear you say? It was initially created as a fun way to get people motivated to participate in sporting activities. The Mud Run tagline is "not making distinctions of any kind". The events are held in various rural settings such as woods or fields, of course featuring an abundance of mud, as well as natural and manmade obstacles. This helps to create an adventurous and challenging setting that motivates participants to complete the race and overcome the challenges of the outdoors. Furhermore, a Mud Day is not merely an athletic competition but an event whose goal is to entertain, bring people together, and strengthen team-bulding.
