Teezily and “Badra Falak” joint their forces against muscular diseases


If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up doing nothing for nobody! It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving

Currently, almost 200,000 people in Holland and many more all over the world struggle with living with a muscular disease. Their disability is a constant challenge in their everyday life, and despite their determination and willpower being even stronger, unfortunately this is sometimes not enough.

Since 1956, the organization ‘Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds’, has been seeking a cure for almost 599 muscular diseases through scientific research. The organization focuses on improving the quality of life of those suffering, making the phrase ‘If you can't find a miracle, become one’ a motto to live by.

For this purpose, DANCEOFF was established, a competition for all those who love dancing and want to support this wonderful cause. The difference here however is that people there don´t dance against each other, but together in support of the fight against muscular diseases.

In this respect, the dance Academy ‘Badra Falak’ launched three campaigns through TEEZILY to support this cause and to contribute to a total of 1001€ raised for the charity.

Here is our conversation with Esther Moelands.

Why did you launch your campaigns?
Dancing is our passion and muscles our tools! While there is no cure for many muscular diseases – yet – there is hope for an effective treatment! Our aim was to raise funds for ‘Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds’.

Did you succeed?
Yes, all of our campaigns were successful and with this money we reached our goal. Members of the dance school bought the shirts to support our purpose. Sometimes during the class they wear the shirts and this create a team spirit as result cause we know we could together to reached our goal.

How did you find the process of launching a Teezily campaign?
It was really easy even for a beginner but it was nerve wracking waiting to see if the campaign would be successful!

What would you suggest for Teezily in the future?
At the beginning I wasn’t aware of your support system for campaigners, so I will make sure in the future to make the most of the help offered by Teezily. It would be great if this information was more readily available for new campaigners.
