Hello Tommy! How are you today?
I am fine, thanks!
TZ: Where are you from?
I was born in the countryside near Yogyakarta in Java Island, not far from the volcanic mountain, Merapi. Then I left my home town to stay in Jakarta while reading my undergraduate degree.
TZ: What’s your favourite thing about your country?
It's the food. Influenced by many cultures, Indonesian people have infinite sort of delicious, tasty yet modest meals and snacks. And I am also proud of being Indonesian because we are prosperous in natural and cultural resources.
TZ: Tell us a little bit about your studies.
I am in the final year of my masters degree in France. It is a mix between communication, media, culture and tourism.
TZ: How many languages can you speak?
Besides Bahasa Indonesia and Javanese, I can also speak English and French.
TZ: What are you doing exactly at Teezily?
My main responsibility is working as the country manager for Indonesia, supporting the sellers from my country by animating the Facebook group of Teezily University Indonesia, sharing news and updates and encouraging them to create campaigns. On top of that, I also help with French customer support, Social Media support and graphic design support.
TZ: What’s your favourite thing so far about Paris?
Well, Paris is very upbeat city yet so pretty and poetic. I love the way Paris gives us a lot of access to art and culture.
TZ: And the worst thing?
It's difficult for me to tell the worst thing here. But somehow, administrative matters in French can be very complicated to get handled and sorted. The characters of people here are also very particular. Sometimes it takes a lot of efforts for me to understand their behaviour and how they act.
TZ: How do you spend your free time here?
Watching movies and hanging out with friends.
TZ: Tell us a funny fact about you!
I lost my visa and passport during my first week in Paris.
TZ: Tell us your life quote.
Work for a cause not for applause, live life to express not to impress.
TZ: What have you gained from Teezily so far?
Vast professional experiences, an international start-up ambiance and friends. I have a good time here..
