Dancing “Sirtaki” with Konstantina!
She has lived almost everywhere in the world, but she is truly attached to her beautiful country and to greek traditions. She is a real workaholic but she definitely knows how to party! Do any of you have a fantastic colleague that brings a huge moussaka for a monday lunch and shares it with her co-workers? Well, we do! Meet our sweet and strong Country Manager - GREECE, Konstantina!
Hello Konstantina! How are you today?
Hey, I am fantastic, thank you!
TZ: Where are you from?
Konstantina: I am from Greece. Yeah you can be jealous now, we actually have summers! :P
TZ: What’s your favorite thing about your country?
Konstantina: Greece is a country that truly satisfies all the senses and it's understandable how the idea of so many gods originated here. Eighty percent of the country is picturesque mountains and the rest are beaches that are ridiculously breathtaking. I truly can’t choose what is my favorite thing, the delicious food, the sunny weather the whole year round, the 1.200 islands or the nightlife that goes on till the wee hours every day of the week. However, the most important and probably my favorite thing is our attitude towards life. Greeks have been through a lot lately but don’t worry, we are a small country but our people have big hearts, powerful and unique!
TZ: Tell us a little bit about your studies.
Konstantina: I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Banking from Athens University of Economics and Business. I am also planning to read a masters degree in Finance soon.
TZ: How many languages can you speak?
Konstantina: Three, I can speak Greek, English and French.
TZ: What are you doing exactly at Teezily?
Konstantina: My position is Country Manager for Greece but I also deal with the UK market and its customers.
TZ: What’s your favorite thing so far about Paris?
Konstantina: I love the atmosphere and the energy here. It’s by far the most romantic city in the world! Paris makes you want to grab the person you love and have a passionate kiss wherever you can, on a street corner, in a café, on the Metro or under the trees in Jardin du Tuileries. Also, have you ever had a croissant from a French bakery first thing in the morning? It is life changing!
TZ: What is the worst thing here?
Konstantina: Just say that I have a renewed compassion for anyone who moves to a new country without speaking the language fluently.
TZ: How do you spend your free time here?
If I am lucky enough and it’s a sunny day I prefer relaxing with a book in the park or in a café at Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Otherwise, there are hundreds of worthwhile museums that everyone should visit at least one. A piece of advice from me is to, “get lost!’’ This way you will discover the hidden beauty of Paris.
TZ: Tell us a funny fact about you!
Unfortunately, I am rather forgetful, no matter where I go I guarantee that I leave the waiters more than just their tip! They will also have my phone and laptop, thank goodness that they chase after me….
TZ: Tell us your life quote.
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. ;)
TZ: What have you gained from Teezily so far?
Konstantina: First of all new friends! In general, Teezily has provided me with the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally in a multi cultural environment and work amongst a diverse and international team.
