2015 Black Friday and Cyber Monday: How to make the most of them!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are approaching. Do you have a plan to optimise these two special sales days in your T-shirt business? Keep on reading for tips about making the most of them.

For those who are still a bit lost, Black Friday is one of those traditions recently imported from the US to the rest of the world. This day of discounts in shops of all kind takes place the 4th Friday of November every year, just one day after the US tradition, Thanksgiving. Black Friday is on 27th November this year.

Another date to note in your calendar is Cyber Monday, the same marketing idea but only related to online shopping and this year it will take place on 1st December.

Four tips for Black Friday 2015

1. Have a plan

Think in advance about the promotions you will set for those days and how are you going to communicate about them.
Will you use % discounts or free shipping? Will you do all-day promotions or crazy–hour ones? Will you make some buzz about it in your e-shop or on your Social Media channels a few days in advance?

2. Be rational and fair with discounts

Black Friday discounts are a great opportunity to boost pre-holiday sales. People are more in the mood for buying and we don’t see reasons why you shouldn't join this marketing trend.
But keep in mind that you own a business and you can’t loose money!

3. Make currency and shipping costs clear

Lots of people are so excited about the big deals and don’t pay attention to important details such as the currency they are buying in or the shipping costs. To avoid customer complaints later on, please, make especially clear all of your products details these days.

4. Be patient

It is not difficult to imagine that sites and servers collapse on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You should be prepared for this possibility and be able to rapidly react to any problem and remain patient if your page suddenly goes down and customers complain.
