Noa: his struggle, their fight

In 2011 was released a beautiful, critically acclaimed movie called Declaration of War, inspired by the true story of director Valerie Donzelli. The movie tells the story of Romeo and Juliet, a young couple whose life is shattered when they learn that their 2-year-old boy has cancer. The story of Noa and his parents, Coralie and Emmanuel, is quite similar and as tragic.

Noa is a 2-year-old boy who is suffering from a rare and unknown disease : bilateral microphthalmia. His fight against illness started at his birth in December 2012 when Coralie and Emmanuel, already parents of three, felt that there was something wrong with their child's health. Despite confronting an unempathetic medical staff, Coralie and Emmanuel discovered step by step that Noa suffers from a rare disease.  Between 2012 and 2014, Noa will experience several long hospitalizations and surgical operations to soften the multiples symptoms of the illness. The shock will not prevent them from researching about the disease and looking for solutions to cure their son.

Noa is a fighter and so are his parents. Emmanuel and Coralie, despite the white nights and the many difficulties encountered since the diagnosis of their son, have not lost hope. They decided to document their daily struggles on their Facebook page and blog which encountered great responses.

After a first successful campaign in June, we decided to contact them to collaborate with them and recreate a new design for a new campaign ending on October 9th. Behind many tee-shirt campaigns are moving and inspiring stories and Noa’s is one of those. The war has been declared: against illness, against fatality. Coralie, Emmanuel and their children needs more warriors in their rank. Will you be one of them?
